Your Starting XI Forwards

May 21st, 2006 | By: WC Bob | 4 Comments »

We’ve talked about the keepers , defenders, and midfield, now let’s select who should start at forward for the Palancas at the World Cup.

Your choices are: Akwá (unattached), Andre Titi Buengo (Clermont Foot), Flávio (Al Ahli), Love (AS Aviacao), Mantorras (Benfica), Mateus (Gil Vicente).

My votes go for Akwá and Mantorras.

Who do you want to see start?

Definitely Akwa. Í’m not sure if Mantorras can play 90 minutes, as good as he is. I think he could spark our offense coming off the bench. But then again, we need him to be hyped up in the game against Portugal. So i guess I subscribe to your picks, Pasha.

However, Flavio plays very well when paired up with Akwa. And, Titi Buengo could give a different dimension to our offense at 190cm/85 kg.

Against Portugal- Akwa and Mantorras

Against Mexico- Akwa and Flavio

against Iran- Flavio and Titi Buengo or Love

If Akwa doesnt have a good game against Portugal, then he should be a sub on the next match. We should learn from what happened in the African Nations Cup.
