Yes!!!! Angola 0 Mexico 0

Wow, I can hardly type I am so excited. Angola earns a tie against Mexico. We played one of the better teams in the World Cup straight up and showed our true team spirit. Even when we went down a man late in the game the Palancas came together and made sure they got a result. Ricardo was absolutely huge in goal for us all night long. Mexico had a good number of chances but they were far from dominant. We could have scored a couple of times too.

This tie feels like a win to me. We have shown the world that we are capable of playing with anyone. Now let’s take it to Iran and hope that Portugal beats Mexico!!!!

Today I am very proud of our team and of Angola.

What did you think about that game?

Mexico takes on Angola today, and with a victory and a Portugal non defeat, the conjunto azteca will stamp their passports for the 2nd round.

Mexico has not lost a 2nd game in the world cup since 1978, and since 1986, they have two wins (Ireland-94, Ecuador-02) and 2 draws (Paraguay-86, Belgium-98).
THATS WHAT MEXICAN SAID BEFOR GAME!
haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa :D Congratulations
you are sooooooo good and have a very good goalkeeper man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D you made a draw by 10 players !:D

Great job Angola. I am very pleased. An hour before kickoff, my mood was not well after witnessing another African nation going down in defeat. The Ivory Coast played great football and its sad that they aren’t moving on to the next round because they definitely have the talent. Then hours later my spirits dramatically rise to an amazing game with Angola coming with a draw against Mexico. Joao Ricardo was my man of the match. Somebody sign this man! And oh yeah, Mantorras needs to be in the game more.

hard to believe the angola goalie doesn’t have a team - he could play for a premiership team - just teach him to leave the outswinging crosses to the defenders.

angola defended beautifully, counterattacked well. BUt I do have to say that with the exception of a couple of shots MExico looked as bad as England at shooting - and that’s bad!

Not a great game, but Angola showed good spirit. Ricardo was the man of the match, indeed. The game contained elements of a good “Rocky” like Hollywood story: the underdogs from Angola, who never made a point in previous world cup games, a goal keeper without a team for almost two years (I hope he finds one after the tornament), yellow red card 10 minutes before the end. I love it!

That was great! Thank you Angola. You are our hero! I was so nervus as I was in Iran - Mexico match. Perfect game. I wish you could win Mexico.

Your goalkeeper is a real warrior!

But please do not show the same quality in Iran match ;)

I was in my campus bar rooting for Angola - surrounded by bemused and befuddled individuals who knew quite well that I’m a Soca Warrior…

Well done!!

How come your goalie doesn’t have a team?? His performance yesterday was amazing!!

I’m sad because Mexico coudn’t score, but at the end I guess this will make the third games in group D completely heart-stopping, and at the end this is what is all about, right?
