Rude Awakening My Arse
Add our friend’s at the FIFA website to the list of naysayers who have jumped off the Angola bandwagon after the African Nations Cup. While “picking over the pieces” of Angola’s performance in Egypt, the author clearly fails to recognize an important thing. Angola tanked at the CAN so that its opponents in Germany would overlook them. You see, this was all part of a brilliant strategy laid out by Angola coach Goncalves. There is a proverb that says “Only the ignorant believe in ignorance.” There is no more relevant description for where Angola stands right now. In fact, I fully expect the team to lose every friendly between now and the World Cup. But when the lights come on and the games really matter, FIFA and all the other haters will see what the Palancas Negras are all about!
