Roster Announcement Coming Sunday

Thanks to loyal reader Dido, we now know that Angola will release its World Cup roster on Sunday. We also know that coach Goncalves has some tough decisions to make, especially at forward where he is expected to name four players. The leading candidates are: Akwá, Love, Mateus, Flávio, Mantorras and Titi Bwengo. So if you had to choose from these six, who would you take?

I would go with: Akwa, Mateus, Mantorras and Love.

My guess is Goncalves will select: Akwa, Mantorras, Flavio and Mateus.

What do you think?

I think you’ve guessed Goncalves exactly right. Flavio has to make the team after his performance at the Nations Cup. Incidentally, Love is under heavy criticism for a horror tackle he delivered in a league game over the weekend.

I think Goncalves will take Akwa, Flavio, Love and Mateus. I would of course drop either Flavio or Love to make room for Mantorras but Goncalves seems to have a problem with him.

For me it should be Akwa, Mantorras, Mateus and Flavio. Love never hits the target when you need him to.
