Nando Rafael

April 6th, 2006 | By: WC Bob | 2 Comments »

When I think about the possibility of seeing Angola play without Pedro Mantorras at the World Cup, I get kind of disappointed. But instead of pouting about it, I think we should help coach find a good replacement at forward. One guy I would like to see get a shot with the Palancas Negras is Nando Rafael .

He is just 21, but after playing in the youth system at Ajax and three years at Hertha Berlin, the striker is having a nice year at Borussia M’Gladbach in Germany. He has played 20 games and has scored five goals. I’m fairly convinced that this kid is the future of Angola football if he can be convinced to play for the Palancas. He left the country when he was eight after both his parents died and has lived most of his life in Holland. But he does hold Angola citizenship.

The time has come for him to get a shot.

Hello Dear Nando Rafael, This is Abilio Cabral speaking from Luanda-Sambizanga.I don’t speak english correctly, as you can regist some errors to the message I send to you. You may be looking for your football success, I certainly know this.In the life being we want to be realized and live the concret dreams. even though want to live our ambictions and dreams, my friend, we are brothers and we cannot forget our origin, and all the gifts our God had given to us just to make high the name of our country ANGOLA.

I’m completly desappoitend to your decision, leaving our country, and play for other which is not your blood, and don’t take part to your real nation and part.

If you should fill what I fill today for this country, you should never make decisions like this, but I can imagine, it happened because of the World corruption and you should not resist the fantasy condition.

Therefore, I don’t condenm you for your decision, but my advise is that if you have the any chance, please come back to us, for our hands are open to receive you back.

God bless you, and your sucess come highest world’s top.
Not for your decision, but of the spirit of Angola that God blessed us, in the name of Jesus our Salvation, we put our faith, amen.
