Hooray! Pedro Emanuel Might Play

Terrific news for the legions of Palancas Negras fans who read this blog daily. Defender Pedro Emanuel has said that he will probably accept Angola’s offer to play for the team in the World Cup this summer. Emanuel, who plays for FC Porto in Portugal, had previously declined requests to suit up for Angola but with the World Cup nearing he is having a change of heart. Emanuel was born in Angola but has spent most of his life living in Portugal.

This is simply joyous news for an Angola team that has had its backline devestated by injury and suspensions. I’m going to break out the palm wine and get the weekend started now!
