Angola’s Portugal Connections

May 7th, 2006 | By: WC Bob | 3 Comments »

Here’s an article that talks about Angola’s efforts to recruit players born in Angola who play in Portugal’s football leagues. Marco Abreu, Figueiredo, and Joao Ricardo are among the current players who have spent most of the lives living and playing in Portugal. All of this only makes that opening match against Portugal even more exciting. One minor mistake in the article, however, is that Pedro Emanuel will not be playing for the Palancas in Germany because he was ruled not to be eligible to play for Angola.
