Angola Bank Offers Reward for World Cup Success

As if the Palancas don’t have enough incentive to play well at the World Cup, now Angola`s International Credit Bank (BIC) is offering a little bit more. The bank has announced that it will pay $5,000 to the best Angola player at each match, as well as $5,000 for every player who scores a goal during the World Cup. The players and coaches will also get to split $50,000 if they advance to the second round. No mention how much they’ll get paid when they win the championship, but if they do I probably would turn over my bank account to the team!

Come on lads!

In re: previous posts….

Portugal plays 5 defenders… we can’t counterattack with two forwards and expect to score. We should play 4 guys in the MF.

Mateus, Figueiredo, Ze Kalanga, and Edson can hold the MF.

I hear Titi Buengo is a 190cm/85kg forward that can trouble the tuguinhas..

Mantorras will serve us better coming off the bench.. he has had lots of experience energizing Benfica’s offense late in the game.

Our starting defenders should be: Kali, Rui Marques, Jamba, and Lebo-Lebo.

I think they should start Mantorras… He can make much trouble for any D… I like Mantorras because he is truly a play maker,,, that is if he does not score himself… What I am really hoping for is that we find ways to create a NO PASSING ZONE in the midfield Locking it Down… Lets Play smart… Lets keep moving forward… ANGOLA

[...] An Angola bank is offering up $5,000 to every Palancas Negras player who scores a goal during the World Cup. As unabashed cheerleaders of the team, we only hope that bank has a whole lot of money because the Palancas are going to get their fair share of goals on their way to the World Cup championship.
