Akwa: We’re Playing to Win

This is why I love our captain. When asked if he would settle for a tie against Portugal he responded:

“No. I have ambitions as a player and I’m sure my team has those same ambitions. We know Portugal are a very strong team but we are also good. We have our quality and our target is three points,” he said.

The Professor was a little less bullish. Coach Goncalves said he would be pleased with a tie, but I think he is just trying to downplay expectations.

As for me, I’ll take a win, draw or loss as long as the team plays with maximum effort and represents Angola with pride.
