We Still Have a Long Way to Go

March 13th, 2006 | By: WC Bob | 2 Comments »

Here is a very critical article about how the Angola football federation failed to adequately meet the needs of opposing teams during the African Club Champions League and CAF second leg preliminaries in Luanda last weekend. The author mentions sub standard accomodations for opposing players and for the match referees. This type of negative publicity is not good for Angola, which is trying to show that it is worthy of hosting the African Cup of Nations in 2010. As the level of play in Angola improves, I can only hope that the football federation also gets its act together. Too many people have negative ideas about Angola to begin with. Let us use football and our hospitality to show them otherwise.
