The State of Angola’s Opponents
Because I am so bummed about yesterday’s loss to South Korea, I am trying not to think too much about Angola football today. It is tough since I eat, breathe, and sleep Palancas Negras. One thing that helps is looking at some other teams to see how they are doing. I decided to check up on Angola’s competition in Group D and I must say the sun is shining brighter on them than it is on any of us in Angola. And you all know how bright the sun is here.
Let’s start with Iran. Team Melli, as they are called, defeated Costa Rica 3-2 in a friendly yesterday. This Iran attack has me worried. They can score some goals and as everyone knows Angola’s defense is not always rock solid like it should be. Iran is looking pretty good and I’m not sure we have what it takes to outscore them at the World Cup.
Portugal trounced Saudi Arabia 3-0 yesterday. We all know that Saudi Arabia isn’t very good but still that is an impressive result for Portugal. I still think we will shock them, but it isn’t going to be easy. That Ronaldo cat is scary good. Reminds me a bit of Flavio.
Finally, there is Mexico. They beat Ghana 1-0. I always love to see Ghana lose so I was cheering on Mexico all night long. The team didn’t look unbeatable but they are very good on defense. I think we might end up getting a 0-0 draw with them in Germany.

It shows that Angola will be thrashed if they dont play Pedro Emanuel in defence and Mantorras in attack. There is no point in telling you. You are not related to the manager.

Dido – I am not related to Goncalves but I would like to date his daughter. If you have her number, please send it to me.
BTW, I expect we’ll see quite a bit of Emanuel and Mantorras this summer regardless of if I get a date.
