Rui’s Long Journey to the World Cup

May 28th, 2006 | By: WC Bob | 3 Comments »

Here’s an article about Angola defender Rui Marques. I wasn’t aware that he only played one game last year for Hull. He is undoubtedly a talented player but now I am a bit concerned about his game readiness. He really could make a difference in our backline if he is fit and in form. Keeping my fingers crossed that this will be the case. I’ve been rooting for Rui for a number of years now and I’d like nothing more than him to live up to his potential in Germany.

I like the way the press has been talking about Angola and its players. Surely we haven’t accomplished much for the world to see us with different eyes. And, that’s what drives us…

We will put up a fight…

Rui M. has only played one game last year for Hull. But he’s been ready for a break in his career. Trust me guys, he’ll play like there’s no tomorrow for him.

OU ME MATAM… OU QUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rui is a legend. He also made one appearance for Leeds last season, in the Carling Cup, against Oldham. I was there, and at right back, he looked ok. Was suprised to see him in the midfield against Mexico. Was impressive though.

If you visit my website http://www.tinomeets.tk there is a picture of Rui on the Leeds section, I’ve met him loads of times, as I suport Leeds and live in Hull. He’s a legend in my eyes.
