On the eve of the selection

What an exciting moment in Angola history. On Sunday the names of the 23 men who will represent the country at the World Cup will be announced. It has been a long road to get to this point and now that it is almost here, words can’t describe the excitement.

One name all eyes will be looking for to see if he is on the final roster is Pedro Mantorras. The striker has had some difficulty with coach Goncalves over the past few months, but he has taken responsibility for his unhelpful comments after the Cup of Nations. I am very pleased to see Mantorras do this. It shows that he is ready to represent Angola and to work together with Goncalves to deliver the best possible result at the World Cup.

I’m not sure if I will be able to sleep tonight. Tomorrow is a big day!
