Manucho loaned to Hull City

Manucho Goncalves has been loaned to Hull City for the rest of the season.
The deal is a perfect opportunity for the Angolan forward to establish himself in the Premiership. He is expected to feature (as a substitute) in Hull City’s next game against Arsenal.
The deal is good news for both Manucho and the Angolan national team, as it is vital for the national team that the forward regains his form.

Hey played fairly well for a debut, even though he got flattened by Toure on that header, and had to play the rest of the match with his left eye swollen shut. Ouch. He seemed a bit rusty, but I am looking forward to him getting back into it as he looks quick, good touch, and by all accounts he has a cannon of a shot.

I also think that he had a good debut for Hull City. Furthermore his introduction to the game coincided with Hull’s periodic ascendancy on the game…so well done.
I think as time goes by he will get even sharper than he currently is.

hey Kiko, did you hear about Santana Carlos transfer to V.Guimaraes? I think he is in line to make his debut today for his new team.

how about the fact/rumours that we will play Mali next month?

Thanks Pedro.
I heard about the Santana transfer although he didnt make his debut today. You are right, it is unfair for me to mention manucho’s loan and not mention Santana’s transfer.
I was planning to report the Mali fixture a little later on closer to the fixture date, in order to include the squad list as well.
A further friendly rumour is the one against France. Lets hope that one is true.

I hope that they give Manucho more chances to play. Hull currently has about 6 or 7 strikers (King, Cousin, Fagan, Folan, Garcia etc).

Kiko, even with 7 strikers I think he wil get a chance imediately. He had fairly good reviews for his debut and Phil Brown seems to like him, add also the fact that he is totally diferent to all the strikers at the Hull City roster…so, its really just up to him to seize the moment.

I think the game with France is merely just that…rumours.
Besides I think we will be better served by playing the top african teams rather than the top european teams because our next challenge is the African nations cup and not the EURO.
I think the playing styles of teams from both continents is too contrasting…

The game against France as been confirmed for June 14 although they will probably play a second string side cause they will be playing 4 days earlier against a South American team ( still to b confirmed ) but the FAF is still trying to get Portugal, Belgium, Spain & Brazil although right now only Belgium and Spain seem to be in advance stages the game against Spain is actually an invitation from the Spanish Federation they were supposed to have played each other a couple of years ago but didn’t materialized…..

V.D
I think it will be a good test to play against the french national team, whether is A, B or C
