Considering the fact that Almeida didnt even deserve to be given the post of National manager in the first place, then I wouldnt be surprised if they found a way to stick to him.
What might happen however, is that he might resign if future results dont go his way (due to public pressure). So, lets not waste any more time and lets start putting the pressure on the guy’s head lol.

I took the liberty of checking out St Alb’s website and I didnt see the name Edson listed as a player, neither listed that he played in any of their games preceding their most recent game or at least even during the december 08 period.
BTW, this sounds like a Jackson’s situation all over again, LOL

(I am going to reserve my comments for a while), however anybody who holds on to the romantic idea that Mabi De Almeida should be around until next year ’cause he “deserves a chance”, I honestly think he or she should be taken in for psychiatric observation, Lol

I personally think that if Edson is that good he should at least play league 1 football, because conference football is nothing short than “Girabairro” football.
I hope he makes it big, Lord knows we need all the help we can get, LOL.

Moreover his situation is complicated by the fact he has represented the Netherlands at a youth level, so unless he had made an application to change allegiance before he passed the age of 21 (which I doubt it hapened) talking about him its really a futile exercise.
I honestly dont believe he will ever play for the Netherlands senior team, so I feel he made a mistake turning Angola down, subsequently to be exposed to international football.
He somewhat reminds me of Edgar who was begged to play for Angola back in 96/97 whilst playing for Benfica, he turn it down, and 10 years later when his carreer didnt go the way it was supposed to, his change of allegiance was turn down by FIFA, hence missing at an opportunity of playing in a world cup final tournament, its quite sad.

Also, we all can recognise the Angolan FA incompentence is there for all to see, but I think the issue of playing for a national is more about prestige rather than money.
I know the players are compensated for their troubles, maybe not by European standards but they are compensated nevertheless. E.g. in Africa in terms of infra-structure and organisational approach I can say that South Africa are far ahead than all the countries in Africa, yet in the recent AFCON got paid more their players. Moreover our players get houses etc which I can not said about most African nations.
Kanoute does it for Mali not because he wants the money but because he wants.
Benjani sometimes pays the Zimbabwean trips for all the players out of his own pocket, Weah did it as well, and even M. Kallon also does it.
So is either he wants to play for Angola or he can leave his excuse of money in…Im sure you get my drift.

It was infact established that Jackson Garcia is not even a district team soccer player, he is a clubless former district player who was selected on the basis that “allegedly” saw a video of him playing. However that is a lie because he has been clubless for quite some time.
All I have to say for that is Wow( but in a very sad note)

Edson Pascoal is One of the best midfield players, he can play on the left/Right/Central of midfielder. Plays like Robinho.very very good player who would inmprove the angolan football team.. and he is only 20 years old. he plays for a football team in england conference south for St Albans F.c. Pass the word about so we can get this kid to play for angolan before england or portgual try and call him up………..

Well ameen 2 of your starting players weren’t released by their clubs ( Ze Kalanga, Andre & Amaro ) as for what Pedro said it really makes me sad we are calling up district players from the Portuguese league + vale 1 girabolista than a club less player… OH well but the FAF is at fault not Mabi as they aren’t offering any rewards for who ever plays for Angola in order to incentive’s players to join Palancas Negras….. thats why Kivuvu and rightly so said no to Angola… “but we still have a chance for him to change alliance back to Angola” his dad his a proud Angolan but knows that right now we ( Angola ) are not ready to offer compensation if anything goes wrong with is son…..
