In desperate need of a central defender

Let’s be honest and admit that when Kali and Rui Marques are not playing as central defenders for the Palancas, the team looks incredibly fragile.

Loco still has a lot to learn (and he still has time- but it’s running out) but the biggest worry is Jamba. It is hard to believe that the Angolan league does not have a better central defender than Jamba- come on!

Jamba made Luis Figo look like Usain bolt in the World Cup. How in the world did Figo outpace a man 5 years younger? Or should I be asking, how did Jamba manage to get outpaced by an “old” Figo? – Portugal scored their only goal because of that particular detail. It was absolutely frustrating.

In the Angolan league there are at least 5 or 6 central defenders better than Jamba but the thing is coaches keep on saying they don’t have experience but how are they gonna get experience if they don’t play???? in particular Machado (Recreativo do Libolo) they finished 3rd in the Angolan league, is way faster than Jamba (but who isn’t) is younger and unlike Jamba as played in Europe before in the Portuguese 2nd tier. He keeps getting called up to the national squad but never plays he was at the World Cup but didn’t play reason “too young” and still doesn’t play whats the reason they give “no experience” then whats the point of calling him he has had at least 20 call ups and only played twice of the bench for a couple of minutes….. this is just an example cause there are other players in the same situation… its like no respect to Jamba (hes done a lot for Angola) he owns that team and will always play no matter what… After the World Cup Rui Marques has only been called 2 when he was always available…. He’s our best defender right now, how is that possible… Only in Angola….
