Goncalves: Lions are better team
Heading into his team’s match against Cameroon, Angola coach Luis Oliveira Goncalves said his team fears no one. Maybe they should have been more afraid of the Lions?
After Saturday’s 3-1 loss, Goncalves told Reuters:
“Cameroon were better than us. We made some mistakes in defence. I prefer to evaluate how each team played as a whole but we have to recognise the fact that he (Eto’o) is a good player.”
Eto’o looked better than good scoring three goals and causing havoc in the Angola backline.
Still, Goncalves is trying to remain positive in the face of impending doom:
“We can do better than we did today and we have to believe that it is still possible to qualify (from the group).”
