Club M
Angola’s opponent in the upcoming Cosafa Castle Cup is Mauritius. The small island nation’s football team goes by the dubious nickname of Club M. Mauritius does not have much of a football pedigree. The country has never qualified for the World Cup and only made it to the African Cup of Nations in 1974. The team that has been called up for the match against Angola is largely made up of domestic players with a few notable international exceptions. Has anybody ever been to Mauritius? I’ve heard it is a nice place to holiday.

[...] As we’ve said on this blog, Club M is one of the world’s football minnows, but a wise person once said that if you let a minnow swim for long it might just come up and bit you. Hopefully the team will heed Goncalves warnings and get off to a quick start against Mauritius. [...]
