Angola Wins, Eliminated from CAN

What a roller coaster of a day for Angola fans. Their team defeated Togo 3-2 in African Nations Cup action but it was not enough as Congo claimed the second spot in Group B thanks to goal differential.

The Palancas Negras played valiantly against fellow World Cup qualifier Togo with a late goal by Maurito the difference, but this tournament will be remembered as one full of missed opportunities for an Angola side that had high expectations entering the competition.

Now the lads must regroup and gain their health in the back line before embarking on what will hopefully be a better run in Germany this summer.

A sad day for all Angola fans, but this is a marathon and not a sprint. The Black Antelopes will run again!
