Angola Undefeated Against Argentina

May 29th, 2006 | By: WC Bob | 10 Comments »

It is true. We have never lost to Argentina. According to the FIFA site we have never played them so our record is perfect :-)

How do we shape up all-time against our World Cup opponents? Well, we are undefeated against Mexico and Iran too. Again, we have never played them.

The record isn’t so great against Portugal. We have played them twice, losing 6-0 in 1989 and 5-1 back in 2001.

As for Brazil, well, you guessed it. We are undefeated against them too!

I wish your country the best, but Brasil just happens to be in the competition. Your sense of humour is refreshing. Hopefully the two will not meet. Viva Brasil. Pele’s the best of all time. Saludos.

That’s quite funny. :)

I expect those boys to play a decent game against Argentina. Regardless of the outcome, result, final score or whatever, I’ll be looking at their demeanor, poise, and smarts… It should be a good test before their WC debut match against the Tugas.

Bottom line:

Zanetti or no Zanetti ? Who cares, because Argentina can field 4-5 full highly competitive world cup teams any day of the week, just like Brasil. And everyone from Europe and everywhere else in the world knows that fact.
My dream is to see Argentina vs Brasil in the final, with Argentina winning it’s third cup with a 2-1 win. Germany will come in third place. England will not even make it to the second round. Chau pibe.

Argentina will win 3-0 with goals from Messi, Teves and perhaps Crespo. The only drawback for the gaucho side, and has been for years now, is that the team does not paly too many warmup games prior to the cup, like say Mexico or USA.
But if they get a good start before their match gainst Holland and tie or beat Holland, watch out, becuase when Argentine boys start playing they’ll be tough to beat and better than good chance at winning their third cup. Remember, never underestimate the boys south of Brasil, just ask any diehard Brasilian fan which opponent they fear most at the World Cup, you guessed it, Argentina.

Yes anyone can dream… at this point in time the 2006 world cup belongs to none of the 32 and at the same time to all of the 32…

Argentina might draw or loose against angola. They won’t be playing in full gear, following the coach’s tactict of few friendlies to save energy. So it’s Angola’s time to shine and gain confidence, because on June 10, it’s going to be all Argentina.
