Angola to Play South Korea in Friendly

January 31st, 2006 | By: WC Bob | No Comments »

With its team heading home from the African Nations Cup tournament via the ever popular Cairo-Lisbon-Luanda flight, Angola’s football federation announced that the Palancas Negras will take on South Korea in a friendly set for March 1.

Says Angola coach Luis Oliveira Gonçalves in Angola Press: “We will start playing with teams that play football similar to our opponents so that we can adapt ourselves to them.”

South Korea is from Asia and so is Iran, one one Angola’s World Cup opponents, hence the friendly. Angola will also take on Portugal and Mexico in Germany this summer.
