Angola to Bypass Sightseeing

January 16th, 2006 | By: WC Bob | No Comments »

Here’s another great story from our favorite English language paper covering the Angolan national team.

Angolan coach Oliveira Gonçalves has issued a warning to his opponents in the upcoming African Nations Cup and the World Cup.

“We are not going to Egypt and Germany to do tourism,” says the quote machine of a coach.

We’re not sure if this message has been relayed to his players yet, as our insider sources tell us some of the players have cameras and bathing suits packed in their suitcases.

Will they have the chance to see the Egyptian pyramids and the Brandenburg Gate or will they only see the practice fields and the film rooms? Stay tuned…
