Angola not taking Mauritius Lightly

April 27th, 2006 | By: WC Bob | No Comments »

After a training session with his team yesterday, Angola coach Goncalves said that he anticipates a tough game against Mauritius in the COSAFA Castle Cup. “The games are won after the final whistle of the referee. There are no easy adversaries. Therefore, if we want to advance, we have to roll up sleeves and demonstrate in the game that we are superior,” the Professor said.

As we’ve said on this blog, Club M is one of the world’s football minnows, but a wise person once said that if you let a minnow swim for long it might just come up and bit you. Hopefully the team will heed Goncalves warnings and get off to a quick start against Mauritius.

The largely domestic-based team that has been assembled for the match has traveled to Lesotho. Zé Quitongo and Manucho faced some administrative problems and will be joining their teammates a little late.
