Akwa Top Sportsman
They handed out some awards in Luanda yesterday and it should come as no surprise that Akwa was named the top sportsman for 2005. The Palancas captain scored the winning goal to propel Angola into the World Cup. Here are the football award winners:
Top Sportman - Akwa
Best Home-based player: Jamba
Best Foreign-based player: Gilberto
Top Newcomer: Ze Kalanga
Everytime I see Gilberto’s name I get sad thinking he won’t be playing at the World Cup. Such a talented player. I think he would have caught the attention of the world!
