In a recent interview, Almeida admitted that the Angolan technical team will start scouting for players in Europe.

Angolan Players in Europe
There are still many Angolan players in Europe that are unknown to the people in Angola. The Angolan FA (FAF) needs to step up and start approaching these players.
Luwamo Garcia (born 1 May 1985) is a midfielder, who currently plays for RKC Waalwijk (Dutch league)
Antonio Correia (born 22 October 1983)- striker – FC Inter [...]

Angola 0-0 Venezuela
Heavy rain spoiled what could have been a very interesting match. The end result of the heavy rain was a string of terrible misses by both sides.
The first opportunity of the match fell to Manucho but he could do no better than hit the side netting. The “Vino Tinto” responded with an effort that stretched [...]

In desperate need of a central defender
Let’s be honest and admit that when Kali and Rui Marques are not playing as central defenders for the Palancas, the team looks incredibly fragile.
Loco still has a lot to learn (and he still has time- but it’s running out) but the biggest worry is Jamba. It is hard to believe that the Angolan [...]

The next Angolan coach will have a difficult task ahead of him. The next competitive match that Angola will play will be the first group match of the AFCON- But the scariest thing for the new manager is that the team is expected to at least get to the semi-finals. Is there a clearer example [...]
Angola out of World Cup despite win
Angola beat Niger on Sunday but still failed to reach the final phase of the World Cup qualification.
The match kicked-off 2 hours later than the Benin v Uganda match in Kampala. The Palancas had no chance of going through by the time their match started meaning that the match was only significant to Uganda, who [...]
Angola squad to face Niger
Mabi de Almeida has made his first selection since taking over from Oliveira Goncalves. Here is a list of the selected players:
Goncalves given his marching orders
Oliveira Goncalves has been sacked from his role as Angolan national team manager.
Goncalves transformed the Angolan national team when he took charge in 2003.
Having lost the first leg of the World Cup qualifier preliminary stage to Chad by 3-1 in 2003, the Angolan FA (FAF) appointed Goncalves in place of the Brazilian Ismael Kurtz. Goncalves [...]
